Harassment in the Workplace
Harassment is an important issue for managers. Besides the legal issues involved, lack of leadership in dealing with harassment creates an unproductive work environment. Training points include defining and identifying harassment, prevention of harassment, stopping harassment if it occurs, and policies and procedures relating to harassment. Supervisory training on harassment includes the liabilities for the supervisor and organization, taking appropriate action against harassment and investigating claims and suspensions. Employee training includes a discussion of employee rights to a work environment free of harassment and how to report a harassment incident.

Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
The Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 is intended to balance the demands of the workplace with the needs of families and accommodate the legitimate interests of employers. The training session will include employee eligibility and leave entitlement, reasons for FML, how FML may be taken, notice and certification requirements, job benefits and protection and the organization's rights.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 is designed to prevent discrimination and promote equal opportunities for persons with disabilities. Topics covered in the training session include the primary purpose of the Act, definition of disabilities, employment practices covered by ADA, challenges of job interviews relating to ADA, and the balance between reasonable accommodation and undue hard.
